Helene Advisory

All SCF campuses will close effective Wednesday, September 25 through Sunday, September 29, 2024, and all activities including classes, any appointments, advising, sports, music and theatre productions are cancelled due to Tropical Storm Helene. Regular hours of operations will resume Monday, September 30, 2024.  

The Bradenton and Venice State College of Florida Collegiate School campuses will also close effective Wednesday, September 25 through Sunday, September 29, 2024. Regular hours of operations will resume Monday, September 30, 2024.  

Please note only essential facilities, public safety and those designated essential personnel by their supervisor should report for work or to the College as directed. No other faculty, staff or students are expected to report for work or class and will not be allowed on campus as a safety precaution.

The personal safety of students, faculty and staff is our highest priority. Anyone who is unable to attend class or work following the storm should notify their instructor or supervisor as soon as possible.

Students, faculty and staff should monitor all communications channels, including the College’s emergency alert system through email, telephone, text and SCF.edu for updates.
