6 months of graduation

As the demand for nurses continues to grow, State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) is responding to the challenge by providing greater access to nursing education with our different program options (Evening/Weekend, Fast-Track to BSN). Preparing the future of health care delivery in Sarasota and Manatee Counties, SCF nursing alumni represent our College in the community as health care leaders. SCF's nursing program has graduated more than 3,234 ASN/BSN nurses since 2010. Courses are offered at all three campuses, and our Medical Technology and Simulation Center at SCF Lakewood Ranch is one of the most technologically advanced nursing simulation programs in the region.

  • We partner with a wide range of health care facilities.
  • Nursing education is about serving our community.
  • Our faculty invest in the success of our students.

Hear From Our Students

SCF's RN- ASN program is rigorous and demanding. However, it has allowed me to gain professional and clinical skills that will continue to grow with me throughout my future nursing career. Through their in-depth coursework, simulations and clinical experiences, I have been exposed to numerous scenarios and situations that challenge me to think critically, utilize my nursing skill set and act quickly, appropriately and effectively. Resilience is what kept me going during the days when I questioned my ability, intelligence and strength to continue. Now, I continue to build my strengths, improve my communication and provide compassionate care without thinking about it. This program has also fostered a deep sense of connection between my cohort and professors, and in turn, has provided me with genuine lifelong friendships and mentors. I am proud to be an SCF RN-ASN student.

- Chelsea Ritchie, Level IV, SCF RN-ASN Student
