SCF Business Students Win Awards at FBLA State Conference and Advance to Nationals

(Bradenton, Fla., April 17, 2025) — All 15 students representing State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Collegiate Club Bradenton and Venice chapters were honored with awards at the Florida FBLA Collegiate State Leadership Conference in Orlando in March. The students competed in multiple events and 14 of them earned the opportunity to move on to the National FBLA Leadership Conference in Dallas in June. The SCF Venice chapter received the Pansy B. Read Gold Seal Chapter Award of Merit as an outstanding Florida chapter that actively participates in projects and programs aligned with the FBLA Collegiate’s goals.
Events included public speaking, emerging business issues, computer applications, entrepreneurship pitch, impromptu speaking, cybersecurity, business ethics and more. The Bradenton chapter members included Mason Alberts, Mariana Batista, Anna Carlton, Thomas Heisler, Kristen Molina and Aaron Rodriguez. The Venice chapter members included Keon Beckford, Kymani Fogah, Chase Fuentez, Jason Hager, Allyson Rowe, Gianfranco Rivera, Brandon Smith and Jason Smith.
The club advisors, Tylisha Johnson and Jason Reed, congratulate the students on their hard work, valuable dedication and exceptional performance. The Florida FBLA organization provides business leadership skills-building, education, and career preparation experiences for collegiate, high school and middle school students.
