(Bradenton, Fla., April 2, 2025) State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota Advanced Technology Center staff and volunteers will host Fun-With-Tech!, a series of free, hands-on STEM events, as part of Suncoast Remake Learning Days.

Events will take place at:

  • SCF Bradenton (Building 8, Center for Advanced Technology) on Tuesday, April 22, from 4-7 p.m.
  • SCF Lakewood Ranch (CIT Building) on Saturday, April 26, from 2-5 p.m.
  • SCF Venice (Building 800, Selby Room) on Tuesday, April 29, from 4-7 p.m.

Presented by the Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading with support from The Patterson Foundation, all three interactive events offer engaging STEM activities, including robotics, drone flying, circuit building and virtual reality. Desh Bagley, executive director of the SCF Advanced Technology Center, says that the STEM events are helpful for youth and adults.

“It is STEM exploration for the young and career exploration for the young at heart.”

At SCF, Remake Learning Days allows the community to see how technology is growing in the region. Younger participants can explore interactive stations and earn prizes for completing all four. Older participants can engage with staff members to learn more about the technology training courses offered at the Advanced Technology Center.

No RSVP is required, and families are welcome to attend at their convenience. For more information, email Coding@SCF.edu or call 941-752-5143.
