SCF Advanced Technology Center to Hold Cybersecurity Workshop for High School Students

(Bradenton, Fla., Feb. 25, 2025) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota’s (SCF) Advanced Technology Center, 5840 26th St. W., Building 8, is excited to offer the next installment of its free pre-college workshop series from 6:15 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26. The next event will focus on the fast-growing field of cybersecurity. Open to ninth-12th grade students, this engaging workshop will introduce participants to the world of digital security, ethical hacking and the critical role cybersecurity plays in protecting information.

Students will meet cybersecurity professionals, explore interactive displays and learn about cybersecurity careers. Offering insight into a day in the life of a cybersecurity professional, students can explore the field as a potential college major and career while learning about the skills and education needed to succeed in this growing industry. Free light food and beverages will be provided.
