High School Students to Explore Robotics and Drones Fields in an Emerging Tech Workshop

(Bradenton, Fla., Nov. 7, 2024) — High school students in grades 9-12 are invited to attend a robotics and drones workshop from 6:15 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the SCF Advanced Technology Center, 5840 26th St. W., Bradenton, Building 8. Students will gain hands-on experience with drones, participate in interactive activities and network with industry professionals. Light snacks and beverages will be provided. The event is free, but registration is encouraged at the SCF Coding Academy website.
The workshop is part of the Center’s pre-college emerging tech workshop series. Students and their families receive guidance on college preparation, majors and degrees that may lead to careers in robotics, drones and other emerging tech fields.
“We are thrilled to offer these workshops to high school students and provide them with a glimpse into the exciting and rapidly growing world of technology,” said Desh Bagley, director of the SCF Advanced Technology Center. “We believe that it’s never too early for students to start exploring career interests and learning about the technologies that will shape the future.”
