Mini-intensive Academic English Classes Prepare Students for Continued College Education

(Bradenton, Fla., Oct. 3, 2024) — Registration is open for three-week, mini-intensive Academic English classes taking place in November at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota’s (SCF) Lakewood Ranch and Bradenton campuses. These intermediate classes cost $299 and include all materials. The course contains academic reading, essay writing, classroom discussions and debates, and requires homework and tests.
Classes are geared toward students who have completed SCF’s English for College and Communication (EFCC) class or want a thorough academic English review before starting a new semester. If students have not completed SCF’s EFCC class, they should contact Lifelong Learning to check if they are intermediate-level learners before registering for the mini-intensive classes.
Sessions will take place:
- 9 a.m.-noon Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, Nov. 5-21, at SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Pkwy., Sarasota.
- 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, Nov. 5-21, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W.
