SCF Board of Trustees Report: September 24, 2024

(Bradenton, Fla., September 24, 2024) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) District Board of Trustees (BOT) held its regular monthly meeting on September 24.
The board heard presentations on:
- Organizational Meeting for the purpose of electing a Chair and Vice Chair of the District Board of Trustees from Tommy Gregory, J.D., president of SCF.
- SCF Mission Statement Annual Review from Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness, Dr. Ryan Hale.
- Presidential Goals from SCF President Tommy Gregory.
The board approved:
- Nonfinancial and financial consent agenda items.
- A contract in the amount of $574,984.11 with The Garland Company Inc. to replace the flat roof sections on Student Services Building 1 at SCF Bradenton.
- Increasing the maximum limit for continuing contracts covered by the Competitive Consultant Negotiation Act per project construction cost from $4 million to $7.5 million.
- Amending President Goal three “increase enrollment by 1%” to 2%.
The next board meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. on October 29, 2024, at SCF Bradenton.
