SCF Communications and Government Relations Takes Two Silver Awards at National Competition

(Bradenton, Fla., March 1, 2024) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota’s (SCF) Communications and Government Relations department has won two silver awards in the 39th annual Educational Advertising Awards competition. More than 2,000 entries were received from over 1,000 colleges, universities, secondary schools, and elite agencies from all 50 states and several foreign countries, including acclaimed public institutions like the University of Florida and Stanford University, as well as prominent private universities like Princeton and Vanderbilt. Both entries received recognition from the judging panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors and advertising professionals, who evaluate entries for their content, design and impact.
Silver recognitions, which were only bestowed to 278 institutions, went to the 2023 Annual Scholarship Luncheon fundraising video emphasizing the value of higher education and SCF’s new website, SCF.edu, which focuses on a guided user experience to enroll at the College.
CAM staff who had a role in the winning projects include Jamie Smith, associate vice president of communications and government relations; Nicholas Pascale, webmaster; Drew Navy, digital production manager; Fred Stewart, SCF student employee; Amy Mathew, creative content coordinator; Patty Strait, executive assistant; Nate March, former communications and media coordinator; and Jon Stanton, proofreader.
“These creative projects took a significant amount of time, effort, and collaboration with our team, college community, and community members,” said Smith. “It’s very humbling to receive recognition from our fellows in the industry, and I am very proud of my team.”
