Multiple Ensembles to be Showcased in Intimate Chamber Performance

(Bradenton, Fla., March 17, 2022) — The State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) music department will showcase the talents of several chamber ensembles in “Step Into My Chamber” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31, in the new Studio for the Performing Arts Recital Hall at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W. Tickets are available online at SCF.edu/Neel. General admission is $15, and tickets for students and staff are $5.
The Recital Hall provides an intimate setting for chamber ensembles to showcase a rich sound for a top-notch audience experience. Performances from the Woodwind Ensemble, Saxophone Quartet, Woodwind Choir, Brass Quintet and Trumpet Choir highlight the front half of the show. The second half of the show will feature the Brass Choir, Low Brass Choir, Percussion Ensemble, Presidential String Quartet and Presidential Jazz Combo.
Student conductor Joseph Giddens will direct the Woodwind Ensemble’s performance of seven “Norwegian Miniatures” by Edvard Grieg. Faculty conductors and coaches include Robyn Bell, Dan Burdick, Pete Carney, Bob Moore and Aaron Nix.
