What is TRIO Student Support Services (SSS)?
Through TRIO SSS, you will have access to expanded student support services to aid in navigating your associate or certificate program designed to transfer to a four-year bachelor’s degree program or go directly into the workforce. With support from the TRIO SSS staff, you will not only have access to valuable resources, but also build community as you navigate your individualized college experience.

Am I eligible?
You are eligible to apply for the TRIO SSS program if you:
- Are an SCF degree-seeking student
- Are a citizen or national of the U.S. or meet the residency requirements for federal student financial assistance
- Have earned less than 45 credits.
And, meet one of the following criteria:
- First-generation college student (neither parent having earned a bachelor’s degree) and/or
- Low-income college student based on the U.S. Department of Education guidelines and/or
- Have a documented disability
If You Qualify
Upon application approval, the TRIO SSS program director and coordinator will invite qualified applicants to a personal interview.
Program Requirements
Accepted students must adhere to the following commitments:
- Meet with an advisor twice each semester
- Take a placement test as required by program staff
- Attend orientation
- Be pursuing a college credit certificate or associate degree
