Hurricane Ian Recovery

Hurricane Recovery at SCF

Hurricane Ian significantly impacted SCF's service region and many other areas throughout Florida and beyond. The safety of our students, faculty and staff is always our number one priority, and part of promoting safety is assisting with recovery from emergencies.

SCF Care Bags Available

Students, faculty and staff can receive care bags with hygiene/cleaning supplies at the following grab and go locations on each campus:

  • SCF Bradenton: Tutoring and Academic Success Center, Library & Learning Center, Dean of Students Office, and College & Career Success.
  • SCF Venice: Tutoring and Academic Success Center, Bill Jervey, Jr. Library, College & Career Success, Student Union, and Nursing Lab.
  • SCF Lakewood Ranch: MTSC

Support Recovery

The short-term and long-term ramifications of Ian continue to be significant for many of our students, faculty and staff. Expenses related to the storm include: preparation for protecting life and property, sheltering or evacuating, and repairing damage after the storm. We know many who have been effected continue to face temporary living situations and a loss of resources important for continuing to learn or work at SCF.

The SCF Foundation is accepting donations to assist the College community during these important days and weeks after Ian. Please visit SCF-Foundation.org to make a donation if you are able.
