CAM Internships

SCF students: Paid, For-credit and Portfolio-building internship opportunities

Are you a social media maven or digital media savant? Then we want you! As a SCF Communications and Marketing (CAM) intern, you’ll have the chance to collaborate and contribute throughout the creative process from conceptualizing, brainstorming and final execution of regional, national and/or college-wide campaigns. You’ll be able to hone your skills and learn from award-winning digital marketers, writers and designers, while increasing your industry knowledge and building your portfolio. And best of all, you’ll help us let our SCF Pride shine with the campus and beyond!

This is a great opportunity for film, photography or marketing students to build content for their portfolios and may lead to a paid internship opportunity.

Paid Digital Media Marketing Intern

Responsibilities

  • Builds campaign templates for various social media platforms
  • Builds digital graphics
  • Helps keep track of projects and files for production
  • Sets up cameras, lighting and sets for photo shoots
  • Shoots and edits photos
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the Digital Communications Coordinator

Qualifications

  • Minimum G.P.A.s ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 on average
  • Interpersonal skills: Throughout the production phase, interns work with many different people, so ability to collaborate with them is imperative
  • Comfortable with Mac and iPhone Technology
  • Previous photography experience using DSLR, Camera Phone, GoPro
  • Previous editing experience using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Stock, Canvas or Ripl
  • Experience operating cameras (DSLR, Camera Phone, GoPro) and lighting
  • Knowledgeable in social media platforms, trends, techniques, software and equipment
  • Eye for artistry, detail and storytelling clarity
  • Video production experience is a plus

Credit Video Production Intern

Opportunities:

  • Create, publish and participate in video production and editing
  • Attend meetings, write, brainstorm, storyboard
  • Learn lighting, audio-visual production techniques and equipment
  • Premiere editing, field production, interview lighting and basic scriptwriting

Responsibilities

  • Sets up cameras, lighting, teleprompters and sets for video shoots
  • Helps record interviews and promotional videos
  • Edits videos
  • Finds stock photos and videos for enhancements
  • Helps keep track of projects and files for the production

Education Experience

  • Able to receive academic credit for the internship
  • Minimum G.P.A.s ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 on average
  • Demonstrate video production experience 

Qualifications

  • Social media savvy with creating Stories for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Snapchat
  • Previous video editing experience using Adobe Premiere and After Effects
  • Experience operating video equipment including cameras (DSLR, Camcorder, GoPro) and lighting
  • Graphic and Web Design experience is a plus
  • Pre-production and storyboarding experience
  • Fluid with Mac and iPhone Technology
  • Knowledgeable in the latest audio and visual techniques, software and equipment
  • Eye for artistry, detail and storytelling clarity
