Q: How do I reserve a room at SCF?
A: You can reserve a room either by phone by calling 941-752-5693 or by emailing rentals@scf.edu
Q: Do I need to have Liability Insurance to use SCF's facilities?
A: A Certificate of Liability Insurance (or a written request for the College to purchase
this insurance through the Florida Community College Risk Management Consortium) is
required 30 days before each scheduled event. The Certificate Holder line should
read State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota District Board of Trustees. The Liability Insurance Policy must list a minimum of $1,000,000 for "General Aggregate,"
"Products (Comp/Op Agg)" and "Each Occurrence" and $500,000 for Damage to Rented Premises. For

Q: What is the cancelation policy?
A: Events cancelled 30 days prior to their event may receive a refund of their deposit,
less a $50 administration fee. Events cancelled after 30 days forfeit their deposit.
Q: Can I have alcohol at my event?
A: State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota does not allow external rentals with
alcohol.
Q: When will I be charged for additional security for my event?
A: Renter's may be subject to additional security fees if their event occurs outside
of normal operating hours, focuses on minors under the age of 18, or open to the public.

Q: What deposit is required to confirm my reservation?
A: Rentals over $500 require a 50% deposit with the return of the contract and balance
two weeks prior to event. Rentals under $500 require full payment with the contract.
