Paralegal Internships
SCF Paralegal Interns: Skilled... Eager... Ready...
Internships are a Benefit to Students and Employers
A paralegal internship provides the exposure, training and hands-on work experience for students to enter the legal field. An internship will also build your job candidate pool by hiring students who are already trained in the skills your company requires. We can assist by providing motivated and qualified student intern candidates.
SCF Internship Process for Employers
It is the responsibility of the students wishing to intern to find an internship placement. However, if you are an employer and would like to inquire about an intern for your office, you may do so by contacting Dr. Suzanne Bechtol, the Program Manager of the Paralegal/Legal Assistant program at bechtos@scf.edu.
Students interested in interning should also contact the Program Manager.
After deciding on a paralegal student intern, employers are required to complete the following forms before a student is eligible to start their internship:
- The Employer must complete the Contract/Employer Indemnity Agreement and return to CRC, along with current Certificate of Insurance.
- The Student is to complete the Student Learning Plan. Review with Employer and Paralegal Program Manager, Dr. Suzanne Bechtol, and return it to CRC.
- During the last week of the internship, a confidential Performance Evaluation is required to be completed by the Employer with the intern and returned to the Career Resource Center.
