Associate in Art Degree (A. A.) [1058]
General Education Requirements
Thirty-six (36) hours of General Education courses must be selected from the following areas:
Area I - Communications | 9 hrs. |
Area II - Mathematics | 6-9 hrs. |
Area III - Social & Behavioral Sciences | 6-9 hrs. |
Area IV - Humanities | 6-9 hrs. |
Area V - Natural Science | 6-9 hrs. |
International/Intercultural Courses | 6 hrs. (may be used to fulfill general education and/or Gordon Rule requirements where appropriate) |
An additional 24 credits are required in course work to prepare students for their majors at the upper division of a university or four-year college. The A.A. degree is parallel to the first 60 credits of lower division courses. The following courses are strongly suggested to prepare students interested in pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a Business field:

In addition, CGS 1000 - Computer Information Systems, GEB 1011 - Introduction to Business, and/or SPC 1600 - Fundamentals of Speech Communication are suggested to fulfill the six elective credits listed for the Associate in Arts degree.
