January-March 2025 Concerts and Events at SCF are Open to the Community

The community is invited to attend State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota’s (SCF) early 2025 music program performances Jan. 16-March 27 at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $5 for SCF students and staff unless otherwise noted.   • “Best of the Best” — 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at SCF Recital Hall, Building 11A.

Be amazed by a talent showcase of top SCF music students before their January trip to Jacksonville for the Florida College System Activities Association Student Artist Competition. Admission is free.

  • “Celebrating the Joy of Music” — 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at SCF Neel Performing Arts Center, Building 11 East.

Enjoy some delightful musical repertoire at this collaborative concert by the SCF Bradenton Symphony Orchestra and SCF symphonic band.

  • “A Choral Kaleidoscope” — 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at SCF Neel Performing Arts Center, Building 11 East.

Experience a kaleidoscope of sounds, styles and ensembles with the SCF chamber and concert choirs, including music composed and conducted by SCF choral students.

  • “Santana Soulfire” — 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at SCF Neel Performing Arts Center, Building 11 East.

Rock the house with SCF jazz orchestra and Hot Tonic Orchestra, voted “Best of Tampa Bay,” as they perform iconic guitarist Carlos Santana’s 70s-era Latin rock and funk tunes.

  • “PianoPalooza!” — 9 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at SCF Recital Hall, Building 11A.

Cheer on middle- to high school-aged piano students in a scholarship competition. Listen to the scholarship winner’s recital and the sounds of masterclass students from beginner- to high school-levels. This event will be held in partnership with the Sarasota Music Conservatory. Admission is free.

  • “Community Piano Recital” — 7 p.m. Monday, March 24, at SCF Recital Hall, Building 11A.

Discover the community’s piano student talent of various ages as they play prepared pieces. Admission is free.

  • “Spring Guitar Recital” — 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at SCF Recital Hall, Building 11A.
