SCF’s New Electric Vehicle Technician Online Training Course Meets a Need for EV Auto Care

Bradenton, Fla. Aug. 22, 2024

(Bradenton, Fla., August 22, 2024) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Workforce Development’s new Electric Vehicle (EV) Technician course provides online training in EV maintenance, diagnosis and repair and will help support a growing global demand for high-voltage home and commercial EV charging station service and repair. Students can start the course at any time and work at their own pace. The course costs $1,750 and includes a web-based curriculum, laboratory simulation software, module exams and preparation for the Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist (L3) certification exam.

Register for the Electric Vehicle Technician course at SCF.edu/Training. Completing the 14 training modules takes an average of 32 weeks of part-time study.
