SCF’s English for College and Communication Class Prepares Future SCF Students

(Bradenton, Fla., August 20, 2024) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota’s (SCF) English for College and Communication class provides beginner-level English instruction to other language speakers interested in further education at SCF or improving their English skills. The onsite classes at SCF Lakewood Ranch and SCF Bradenton cost $500 and include pre- and post-assessments, class materials and an English learning application.
Sessions are:
- 9 a.m.- noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday, September 9 to November 1, SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Pkwy., Sarasota.
- 6.-9 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, September 10 to October 31, SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West.
Each week features speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar lessons. Homework and tests may also be included. Students who complete the English for College and Communication class may be eligible to continue with SCF’s higher-level English classes and degree program enrollment.
