January 2017

FREE Yoga Classes – Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:00pm to 1:00pm (first day January 11th) in the Gym (bldg. 17). Please enter through the back entrance. Margie's philosophy is "measure your success by how much fun you are having!" There are always moments of laughter and fun! She teaches a blend of vinyasa flow and kundalini yoga. There is a huge emphasis on moving with the breath and letting it be your guide. We will start with a grounding exercise to get into our bodies, then move through a series of sun salutations to stretch, lengthen and open up the energetic body. We will cool down with a series of full body stretches and end with a 5-10 minute creative visualization. There are always cool types of breathing techniques mixed in to give you that amazing yoga buzz! Come with an open mind and leave with a sense of bliss! Worth 50 wellpoints for each class (maximum of 300 wellpoints for Yoga classes can be earned per semester).

FREE ZUMBA – Tuesdays from 5:00pm to 6:00pm (first day is January 17th) in the Gym (bldg. 17).Please enter through the back entrance. Offered through Pride in Wellness, a fun, Latin-inspired calorie torching, fat-burning cardiovascular exercise class without complex choreographies. This class will enhance your balance and flexibility, increase your stamina and muscle tone, and help you lose weight all while having fun with friends. Ditch the workout, join the party! Worth 50 wellpoints for each class (maximum of 300 wellpoints for ZUMBA classes can be earned per semester).

FREE Yoga PlusMondays and Thursdays from 5:00pm to 6:00pm (first day is January 17th) in the Library (bldg. 8, room 229). Offered through Pride in Wellness, this class incorporates a variety of the most popular yoga PLUS some Pilates movements: power yoga, vinyasa flow, restorative yoga, healthy back yoga, Pilates mat, and standing. This class is designed to help you improve your flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, and reduce the impact of stress on your body. Worth 50 wellpoints for each class (maximum of 300 wellpoints for Yoga Plus classes can be earned per semester).

FREE Boot Camp – Wednesdays (first day is January 11th) from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at the Collegiate School (bldg. 19). Total Body Workout with focus on building strength and increasing endurance. Using body-weight exercises and various types of equipment to increase fitness and have some fun pushing the body strong! All fitness levels welcome. Worth 50 wellpoints for each class.

Thursday Afternoon Movie Special, “Movie TBA,” at 1:00pm in Building 10-115. Hosted by the SCF Film Club. Worth 25 wellpoints (maximum of 200 wellpoints can be earned per semester for film events). You
must stay for the entire film to receive wellpoints.

Tuesday, January 24th – Blood Drive from 9:00am to 3:00pm. OneBlood will be in the back parking lot (between building 17 and building 14). Worth 50 wellpoints for a successful donation (extra wellpoints available for a double donation). You may also obtain wellpoints for any documented donation given off campus.

Wednesday, February 1st – Financial Literacy Workshop (Budgeting and Saving Money) from 11:30am to 12:30pm in Building 14, room 147. Presented by Fifth Third Bank. In this class, you will learn how to create a budgeting process that will work for you and get you on track to meet your financial goals. You will learn how to save – no matter your income level, amount of debt or fear of the process. Worth 50 wellpoints.

Wednesday, February 15th – HIV-STD-Hepatitis A, B, C Testing, presented by the Manatee County Health Department from 10:00am to 3:00pm on the service road located between the Student Union (bldg. 14) and the
SCF Gym (bldg.17) – worth 25 wellpoints (maximum of 25 wellpoints can be earned per semester).

Thursday, February 23rdFinancial Literacy Workshop (Boost your Credit Score) from 11:30am to 12:30 pm in Building 14, room 147. Presented by Fifth Third Bank. Credit can be your friend or enemy. You will learn what credit means, why it’s important, how to clean up bad credit and how to establish good credit. Worth 50 wellpoints.
