  • FREE Yoga classes - every Monday beginning January 14th, presented by Laura Bennett from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in the SCF Campus Ministry (bldg. 4)  - worth 50 wellpoints for each class (maximum of 300 wellpoints for yoga classes can be earned per semester).

  • SCF Farmer's Market - every Wednesday beginning January 9th from 10:00am to 2:00pm on the south side of campus, in the grassy area between the Family Heritage House (bldg. 8) and Social Sciences (bldg. 9) - worth 25 wellpoints for a minimum purchase of $10. You may earn a maximum of 100 wellpoints for (4) different purchases on (4) different dates during the semester. Attach your receipt(s) to your tracking sheet. **Make sure the vendor's name is on the receipt or pick up a Farmer's Market form in the SGA Club Hub 14-130.
  • FREE "Friday Morning at the Movies" - every Friday beginning January 25th at 10:00am in Bldg. 10-115, sponsored by the SCF Film Club (features: 1/25 - The Devils) - worth 25 wellpoints. **You must stay for the entire film to receive wellpoints.
  • Thursday, January 10th - Faculty Recital, Carol Sparrow, Mezzo-soprano and Randolph Locke, Tenor. Concert begins at 8:00pm in the Neel Performing Arts Center (bldg. 11). Carol Sparrow and Randolph Locke will give a classical voice recital, accompanied on the piano by Lurray Myers. They will perform two very famous song cycles from the Romantic periods. Sparrow will sing Hector Berlioz's "Les nuits d'ete" and Locke will perform Robert Schumann's "Dichertliebe". Advocates are people who know what they want/need and will stand up for their rights. Self Advocacy in college means you are responsible for getting the help that you need...being an advocate for yourself.     • Friday, January 18th - Homemade Health & Healing, presented by Wendy Valley from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in Bldg. 18-110, this month's topic: "Transitioning to a Healthy Diet". Come learn how to making gradual changes will ultimately lead you to a healthier life when you make these changes with a defined goal in mind - worth 50 wellpoints. **Seating is limited and is first come, first serve.
    • Tuesday, January 22nd - "Time Management 101," presented by SCF Advising Center staff from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in Bldg. 1-247. Can you identify the thieves and robbers of your time? Do you feel as if you do not have enough hours in the day to accomplish the many tasks on your to-do-list? Time is a valuable resource and how you manage it does matter. Well, technically, we cannot manage time, but we can have control over what is accomplished during the day. This workshop will provide students with an opportunity to learn basic time management skills that can easily be used to gain control over home, work and school demands - worth 50 wellpoints.
    • Wednesday, January 23rd - "Want to be a Health Science Major? Learn What it Takes," presented by SCF Advising Center staff from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in Bldg. 1-247. This workshop is designed to help interested students understand the requirements needed to apply to the Health Sciences program offerings at SCF. These programs include Dental Hygiene, Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Assistant, Radiography and the linkage program with St. Pete College in Respiratory Care.     • Wednesday, January 30th - "Assess Yourself," presented by SCF Career Resource Center staff from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in Bldg. 1-207. Confused about your major? Need to change majors? Learn about a FREE assessment that will look at your interests, abilities, and values and generate careers that may be a good fit - worth 50 wellpoints.
    • Wednesday, January 30th - "Foundations in Personal Finance," presented by Fifth/Third Bank from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in Bldg. 14-147/148. Be empowered to make sound financial decisions for life. Sign up for this six week program developed by personal money management expert Dave Ramsey to learn practical applications in personal finance. Topics to be covered include savings, budgets, debt, college student essentials, and family, friends and philanthropy (workbook/materials provided). This is a six week program that will meet every Wednesday beginning January 30th through March 6th from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.   • Tuesday, February 5th - "Interfaith Series: Secular Humanism,"  presented by the SCF Diversity Committee and Humanists of Sarasota Bay, Inc. from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in Bldg. 27-140. Secular humanism begins with atheism (absence of belief in a deity) and agnosticism or skepticism (epistemological caution that rejects the transcendent as such due to a lack of evidence). Because no transcendent power will save us, secular humanists maintain that humans must take responsibility for themselves. While atheism is a necessary condition for secular humanism, it is not a sufficient one. The SCF Fine Art Gallery will open the exhibit "Petrichor" with a presentation/chat with the artist from 5:00pm to 6:00pm in the Fine Art Gallery (bldg. 11). The exhibit will feature the work of internationally-famous artist and humanitarian, Swoon, a "street artist" whose real name is Caledonia Dance Curry.
