  • FREE Yoga classes - every Monday beginning January 13th, presented by Zelena One from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in the SCF Campus Ministry (bldg. 4)  - worth 50 wellpoints for each class (maximum of 300 wellpoints for yoga classes can be earned per semester).
  • FREE Self Defense classes - Tuesdays beginning January 14th, presented by Ancient Ways Martial Arts from 12:30 to      1:30pm in the SCF Gymnasium (bldg. 17) - worth 50 wellpoints for each class (maximum of 300 wellpoints for self-defense classes can be earned per semester).
  • FREE "Tuesday Afternoon at the Movies" - Tuesdays beginning January 14th at 2:00pm in Bldg. 10-115, sponsored by the SCF Film Club (features: TBA) - worth 25 wellpoints. **You must stay for the entire film to receive wellpoints.
  • Monday, January 13th & Tuesday, January 14th – Blood Drive from 10:00am to 3:00pm, One Blood will be in the loop between the Family Heritage House (bldg. 8) and the Neel Performing Arts Center (bldg. 11) - worth 50 wellpoints for a successful donation (extra wellpoints available for a double donation). You may also obtain wellpoints for any documented      donation given off-campus.
  • Wednesday, January  15th – Coping with Stress and Anxiety, presented by BayCare Life Management - from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in building 1-247. Attend this workshop to learn way to manage stress and anxiety in your day to day life - worth 50 wellpoints.
  • Wednesday, January 15th - Getting the Most out of Your College Textbooks, presented by SCF Faculty from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in Bldg. 18-104. Attend this workshop and learn how to make your textbooks work for your - worth 50 wellpoints.
  • Thursday, January 16th - Secrets of the Graphing Calculator - Algebra Edition, presented by SCF Academic Resource Center staff from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the ARC (bldg. 5-121). Confused by how to use the calculator with algebra, join us for this workshop and learn how to make the graphing calculator work for you - worth 50 wellpoints.
  • Thursday, January 16th – SCF Student Showcase Concert. Concert begins at 8:00pm in the Neel Performing Arts Center (bldg. 11). Student artist representatives will perform a variety of musical works in a benefit concert on behalf of SCF music student activities (sponsored by SCF Music Educator’s Club). General admission $10, students and SCF employees $5 (donations accepted) – worth 50 wellpoints (must attach ticket stub to receive wellpoints).
  • Friday, January 17th Bay Street Brassworks, Brass Quintet Concert. Concert begins at 8:00pm in the Neel Performing Arts Center (bldg. 11). One of America’s finest award-winning brass ensembles, based out of Indianapolis and receiving international acclaim, will perform music ranging from Back to Be-Bop. General admission $10, students and SCF employees $5 – worth 50 wellpoints (must attach ticket stub to receive wellpoints).

  • Thursday, January 23rd - Secrets of the Calculator – Statistics Edition, presented by SCF Academic Resource Center staff from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the ARC (bldg. 5-121). Confused by how to use the calculator for statistics, join us for this workshop and learn how to make the calculator work for you - worth 50 wellpoints.
  • Tuesday, January 28th - HIV-STD-Hep-A, B, C Testing, presented by the Manatee County Health Department from 10:00am to 3:00pm on the service road located between the Student Union (bldg. 14) and the SCF Gymnasium (bldg. 17) - worth 25 wellpoints (maximum of 25 wellpoints can be earned per semester).
  • Tuesday, January 28th – 10 Basic Steps for Better Writing in College, presented by SCF Faculty - from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in building 1-247. Join us for a workshop that will give you not one, but ten steps to make your college writing better - worth 50 wellpoints.
  • Tuesday, January 28th – Undo the Fraction Freeze, presented by SCF Academic Resource Center staff from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the ARC (bldg. 5-121). Does the thought of calculating fractions cause you to freeze in your tracks? Come to this      workshop to find out how to melt your fear of fractions and how to calculate them – worth 50 wellpoints.
  • Wednesday, January 29th – Factoring Made Fun, presented by SCF Academic Resource Center staff from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the ARC (bldg. 5-121). Don’t think that factoring can be fun? Attend this workshop to learn how to factor and how      to make it fun – worth 50 wellpoints.

  • Wednesday, February      5th – Time      Management, presented by SCF Advising Center      staff from 11:00am to 12:00pm in building 1-247. Can you identify the      thieves and robbers of your time? Do you feel as if you don’t have enough      hours in the day to accomplish the many tasks on your to-do-list? Time is      a valuable resource and how you manage it does matter. Well, technically,      we cannot manage time, but we can have control over what is accomplished      during the day. This workshop will provide you with an opportunity to      learn basic time management skills that can easily be used to gain control      over home, work and school demands - worth 50 wellpoints.
  • Thursday, February 6th – Resume Power Hour, presented by SCF Career Resource Center staff from 11:00am      to 12:00pm in building 1-207. Learn how to easily and quickly develop a      resume to get the attention of employers, transfer schools and scholarship      committees - worth 50 wellpoints.
  • Tuesday, February      11th – Success in the      Classroom, presented by SCF Advising Center      staff from 1:00pm to 2:00pm in the Building 1-247. Attend this      workshop to learn how you to get the most out of your time in the      classroom and how to make that time successful - worth 50 wellpoints.
  • Wednesday, February      12th – 10      Secrets of Highly Successful Math Students, presented by SCF Academic      Resource Center staff from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the ARC      (bldg. 5-121). Have you ever wondered how you can be a successful student in      math? Come to this workshop to learn 10 secrets that will help you to      become a more successful math student – worth 50 wellpoints.

The      Symphony Orchestra will present an evening dedicated to Mozart’s extensive      output, ranging from “Symphony No. 40” to the “Overture to Cosi Fan      Tutte.” General admission $10, students and SCF employees $5 – worth 50      wellpoints (must attach ticket stub to receive wellpoints).
  • Wednesday, February 19th – Transfer 101, presented by SCF      Advising Center staff from 1:00pm to 2:00pm in Building 1-247. Do you see      a Bachelor’s degree in your future? Your best strategy is to plan ahead.      Come to this workshop and learn about transferring to a college or      university. We will give you a timeline to follow including choosing a      major, determining prerequisites, applying to the university and so much      more. You don’t want to miss this opportunity - worth 50 wellpoints.
  • Wednesday,      February 19th–      Improve Your ESQ (Editing Skills Quotient),      presented by SCF Academic Resource Center staff from 1:00pm to 2:00pm in      the ARC (bldg. 5-121). Attend this workshop to learn way to improve your      editing skills – worth 50 wellpoints.
  • Wednesday, February      19th – Dealing with Depression,presented by BayCare      Life Management - from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in building 1-247. Feeling      a little down in the dumps? Have questions about depression? Attend this      workshop and have your questions about depression answered as well as      learn ways to handle depression - worth 50 wellpoints.
  • Wednesday, February      26th - HIV-STD-Hep-A,      B, C Testing, presented by the      Manatee County Health Department from 10:00am to 3:00pm on the      service road located between the Student Union (bldg. 14) and the SCF      Gymnasium (bldg. 17) - worth 25 wellpoints (maximum of 25 wellpoints      can be earned per semester).

  • Friday, February 28th - If you have accumulated 400 wellpoints by Friday, October 11thyou are eligible for various prizes and gift      certificates. Simply turn in your wellness tracking sheet with the      necessary documentation by 12:00pm (Noon)      on Friday, October 11thin      the SGA Club Hub (bldg. 14-130), room 133 on the Bradenton Campus or in      the SGA Club Hub (bldg. 500) on the Venice Campus. You must attach your      Health Risk Assessment age page (see pg. 7 of the Wellness Brochure) and      staple it to your tracking sheet in order to be eligible for prizes and      gift certificates. ** Deadline will be strictly      enforced. **

  • Tuesday, March      18th – Choirs in Concert “Sonic Art.” Concert      begins at 8:00pm in the Neel Performing Arts Center (bldg. 11). Come for      an intriguing exploration of the intersection of choral music and art      featuring SCF Choral Ensembles under the direction of Melodie Dickerson.      General admission $8, student and SCF employees $4 – worth 50 wellpoints      (must attach ticket stub to receive wellpoints).
  • Wednesday, March      19th – Surfing for      Jobs, presented by SCF Career Resource      Center staff from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in building 1-207. Attend this workshop      and learn how to quickly and easily use the internet to surf for jobs -      worth 50 wellpoints.
  • Thursday, March      20th – 5 Things about      EBSCO Databases,      presented by SCF Library staff from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the Library (bldg.      8), second floor. Attend this workshop and learn not one thing, but five      things that you should know about EBSCO databases – worth 50 wellpoints.

Join two of SCF’s Dental      Hygiene students as they present information on prevention and relief for      tooth sensitivity as well as the different methods and how they work of      tooth whitening – worth 50 wellpoints.
  • Thursday, April      3rd – Chamber Ensembles in Concert “Join Us On Stage, But Don’t Touch      My Bassoon. Concert begins at 8:00pm in the Neel      Performing Arts Center (bldg.11). The Guitar Ensemble, Brass Choir, String      Quartet, Percussion Ensemble and Woodwind Quintet present an evening of      chamber music while the audience will have the opportunity to sit on the      Neel Performing Arts Center stage for this concert. General admission $8,      students and SCF employees $4 – worth 50 wellpoints (must attach ticket      stub to receive wellpoints).
  • Sunday, April      6th – Ring Sarasota – Handbell Ensemble Concert “Music From Around the      World.” Concert begins at 3:00pm in the Neel      Performing Arts Center (bldg. 11). A unique ensemble showcasing five      octaves of handbells present music from Japan Hungary, Russia, England,      the United States and other parts of the world. General admission $10,      students and SCF employees $5 – worth 50 wellpoints (must attach ticket      stub to receive wellpoints).
  • Tuesday, April      8th – Social Media      & Networking: Connecting with Your Future Employer, presented by SCF Career Resource Center staff from 1:00pm      to 2:00pm in building 1-207. Attend this workshop and find out how to use      Social Media and networking practices to connect with your future employer -      worth 50 wellpoints.
  • Thursday,      April 10th – Faculty Recital, Marc Mannino, Jazz Guitar. Concert      begins at 8:00pm in the Neel Performing Arts Center (bldg. 11). SCF music      faculty member Marc Mannino will perform jazz favorites with guest artists      Bob Lunergan, percussion; George Mancini, trombone; and John Miller, bass.      General admission $8, students and SCF employees $4 – worth 50 wellpoints      (must attach ticket stub to receive wellpoints).
  • Monday, April      14th – Musical Theatre Showcase. Show begins at 8:00pm in the Neel      Performing Arts Center (bldg. 11). This showcase includes exciting and      moving songs and scenes from the Broadway lexicon performed by the Music      Theatre Ensemble. Admission is FREE – worth 50 wellpoints (must      attach copy of program to receive wellpoints).

  • Monday, April      21st – Faculty Recital, Felicia Brunelle, Violin, and Alfred Gratta,      Cello, with guest Cheryl Tschanz, Piano. Concert      begins at 8:00pm in the Neel Performing Arts Center (bldg. 11). The music      of women composer Amy Beach, Gwyneth Walker and others are featured in      this recital.   • Thursday,      April 24th – Spring Fling Concert, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” Concert      begins at 7:00pm at the SCF Wynn Baseball Field. SCF music ensembles join      with SCF athletes and faculty to celebrate a year of accomplishments.      General admission $8, students and SCF employees $4 – worth 50 wellpoints      (must attach ticket stub to receive wellpoints).
