Student Employment

Part-time positions on campus are available to SCF students through Federal Work-Study and Student Assistant employment programs.  The general conditions and terms for campus employment are listed below, followed by specific requirements for the individual work programs.

 

Conditions and Terms

  • Students must contact the Career Resource Center to determine job availability college-wide
  • Students will be paid every other week for hours worked
  • Students will determine a schedule with supervisors that is satisfactory to both parties
  • Students are expected to work their scheduled hours
  • If a student wishes to reduce the work load, the student must notify the supervisor and the Career Resource Center
  • Student may work no more than 25 hours per week during periods of enrollment
  • Student must maintain satisfactory academic progress
  • Student must remain enrolled for at least six (6) credit hours during the term to remain eligible

 

Federal Work-Study (FWS)

This program provides work experiences for student with financial need who desire to earn part of their educational expenses.

Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

 

Selection of Recipients

Selection is based on financial need on a first-come, first-serve basis.

 

Student Assistants

This SCF employment program allows students to work part-time on campus.

Contact the Career Resource Center for referral

 

Selection of Recipients

Students are selected by administrators and/or department representatives based on qualifications for the job openings.

 

Off-Campus Employment

Students interested in part-time employment off-campus may contact the Career Resource Center (CRC).  Many local employers list job openings for students with the CRC.
