Disability Resource Center Confidentiality Policy

Disability documentation is considered confidential information and does not become part of the student academic transcript.  All disability information is housed in the Disability Resource Center (DRC) unless the student also provides his/herr documentation to another department of the college. 

Disability documentation shall be released only in accordance with the law and State College of Florida policies and procedures.  Students are under no obligation to disclose their disability unless an academic accommodation is being requested; likewise, faculty and staff have no authority to see disability documentation or have any information concerning a student's disability without a legitimate educational need to know.
