The Disability Resource Center (DRC) is the focal point for information and services to disabled individuals at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF). The DRC is committed to ensuring the access of disabled individuals to all programs, services, and activities of the College, and to promoting the personal, educational, and vocational success of disabled individuals.

SCF is committed to the spirit and the letter of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and has instituted various administrative policies, procedures, and practices to provide meaningful access for disabled individuals.

DRC's Access Services are designed to provide qualified disabled individuals with the necessary services and accommodations so that  they may enjoy full participation at the college.

The provision of certain auxiliary aids, accommodations and services to college events and activities   requires a specific request at least three (3) business days prior to the event.

DRC also provides advocacy and support services to disabled individuals to increase their chances of success and to empower them to reach their full potential. The DRC works with a variety of public and private agencies serving disabled populations to help to facilitate the individual's integration into the main stream of college life. Also, the DRC offers individualized personal, academic, and vocational guidance and counseling to assist disabled individuals to aid in their interests, needs, and abilities.
