Children and Divorce

The Children and Divorce, four-hour course fulfills the court-ordered requirement of the 12th Judicial Circuit (Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto counties) for those divorcing.

You must arrive 15 minutes before the class. If late for the class you will be asked to reschedule. Please be sure to bring your case number and photo ID to class. A certificate of completion will be sent to the court after you have paid the fee, attended the class and provided your case number. This class is for individuals who are in the process of a divorce. You must call to register for this class.

High Conflict Diversion Program

An ongoing 12-session course recognized by the 12th Judicial Court for parents engaging in a custody dispute or divorce involving children. Students may voluntarily attend or be directed by the courts.

Redirecting Children's Behavior (Ongoing Course)

Based on the book, Children: the Challenge, by Rudolf Dreikurs, M.D., parents learn fast, effective ways to be calm and confident as they teach their children to be responsible and cooperative. This class is approved by the Manatee School Board, the Department of Children and Families and fulfills the court-ordered requirement of the 12th Judicial Circuit. Fee includes book; presented by the Women's Resource Center of Manatee County.
