MCC Choirs Present Concert March 10

(Bradenton, Fla., Feb. 26, 2009) - The Manatee Community College (MCC) Chamber, Concert, Gospel and High School Honor Choirs will perform at 8 p.m., Tues., March 10, in the Neel Performing Arts Center, MCC Bradenton, located off 26th St. West at 60th Ave.  

Melodie Dickerson, coordinator of choral and vocal studies at MCC, will direct the MCC Concert and Chamber Choirs, featuring MCC students Emma Mendoza and John Short. Mendoza and Short performed at the Florida Community College Activities Association (FCCAA) Music Symposium held at the University of North Florida earlier this year.

The MCC "Voices of Praise" Gospel Choir is a student-led choir that performs a variety of traditional and contemporary gospel songs. The High School Honor Choir of MCC features talented high school singers from the community. 

Piano accompaniment is provided by Lurray Myers, MCC staff accompanist. Myers serves as accompanist for many groups in Manatee and Sarasota counties.
