Arts & Letters Day at SCF Venice
(Bradenton, Fla., Oct. 28, 2009) - A student art exhibit, music, poetry and book events are all on the agenda for an Arts and Letters Day, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10, at State College of Florida (SCF) Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail. The event is free and open to the public.
- 10 a.m., student arts displays in the breezeway outside building 100 at SCF Venice;
- 11:30 a.m., open microphone for musicians and poets, sponsored by the Swamp Scribes Club, at the Performance Pavilion;
- 2 p.m., "Transcendence," a book presented by co-authors Gabe Horn and Amy Krout-Horn, nationally recognized lecturers on Native American culture, in honor of Native American Heritage Month in building 800, Selby Room.
