SCF to Offer Locksmith Training

(Bradenton, Fla., September 22, 2009) - State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will offer a week-long Locksmith Training course at SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway East.

Held in partnership with American Home Inspector Training, the course uses a combination of lecture and hands-on exercises including: how to disassemble, re-pin and reassemble locks; identify and duplicate keys, code and create master keys; pick a lock and open a vehicle lock. Commercial grade locks and fundamentals of a locksmith business also are covered.

The course will be held 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, Oct. 26 - 30. The fee is $1,495.
