MCC Hosts Healthcare Leadership Series
(Bradenton, Fla., March 31, 2009) - Manatee Community College (MCC) Corporate and Community Development (CCD) will host a series of leadership courses designed for healthcare professionals at MCC Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway, East, Sarasota.
The series, which begins in May, will offer courses addressing change and conflict in the workplace, time management and counseling in a multi-generational workforce.
The following five courses will be held 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.:
- Achieving Quality Through Time Management , Wednesday, May 6
- Managing Change, Wednesday, May 20
- Coaching and Counseling Generations at Work, Saturday, May 23
- Work with Me! Moving from Conflict to Collaboration, Wednesday, May 27
- The Leader as Mediator, Monday, June 1
"We as leaders are all being challenged in these tough economic times to continue to be more efficient and effective," said Daisy Vulovich, associate vice president for CCD. "It is critical that we continue to invest in our own professional development."
Each course costs $199, and the full series is offered for only $595. Courses can count for continuing education units required for healthcare professionals to renew their license. Continuing education units are approved by the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the Florida Board of Nursing.
