MCC Admissions & Financial Aid Workshops

(Bradenton, Fla., March 12, 2009) - Prospective students and parents are invited to learn more about Manatee Community College's (MCC) programs and services - particularly the admissions process and financial aid opportunities - at upcoming Admission and College Funding Workshops and Preview Days. The Admission and College Workshops are scheduled at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, at both MCC Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, building 1; and at MCC Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, building 100.

Students of all ages and interests also are invited to attend an MCC Preview Day that includes a degree overview, funding presentation and application workshop on Wednesday, April 8, 10:30 a.m. to noon, at MCC Venice, Professional Development Center, Selby room, or Thursday, April 9, 10:30 a.m. to noon, at MCC Bradenton, building 14, room 147. Potential students can get hands-on assistance in preparing an admissions application and information about financial aid. Participants also will learn about MCC programs and how to get a successful start at the college. An optional campus tour is available.

MCC offers an associate in arts (A.A.) degree and some associate in science (A.S.) degrees for students who intend to transfer to university programs and more than 20 associate in applied science (A.A.S.) degrees that prepare students to enter the workforce immediately upon graduation.
