Prints by Local Artist Showcased in MCC Gallery
(Bradenton, Fla., Aug. 21, 2008) - An exhibition of prints by Cortez Village artist Linda Molto will be displayed in an exhibit that opens with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 3, in the fine art gallery at Manatee Community College (MCC) Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West. The reception is free and open to the public.
A successful graphic artist, Molto taught herself seriography and has won awards for her prints at festivals in St. Petersburg and Gainesville, Fla., and Atlanta, Ga. She has been a Cortez Village resident for 25 years and finds inspiration for her art in a Florida Institute for Salt Water Heritage wetlands restoration property that abuts her property.
Molto's art is on display at Harry's Continental Kitchen, Longboat Key, and Eileen's Art and Antiques, Fernandina.
MCC will add 28 of her prints to its permanent collection. The exhibit will continue through Nov. 6. Regular gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
