Summer Open House July 22

(Bradenton, Fla., July 16, 2008) - Manatee Community College (MCC) will offer an opportunity during a Summer 2008 Open House program for high school students, their families and others interested in higher education to learn about the college and the programs and services it offers. Visitors may take campus tours, and an MCC scholarship drawing will be held for eligible high school students.

The program will be offered from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 22, in the Student Services Center, building 100, at MCC Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail.

MCC offers two-year associate in arts (A.A.), associate in science (A.S.) and associate in applied science (A.A.S.) degrees. Students who intend to transfer to university programs as well as students who want to immediately enter the workforce can find out about convenient and affordable opportunities at the open house. They will learn how to get started at MCC, and about academic programs and financial aid.
