Board Evaluates Presidential Candidates April 10

Presidential finalists' visits to Manatee Community College (MCC) concluded April 8 and the search for the college's fifth president will now enter the next phase. The MCC District Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting Thursday, April 10, at 9:30 a.m. to evaluate the candidates and consider the board's next step.

The April 10 board meeting, as are all board meetings, is open to the public to attend but does not include an audience comment or question-and-answer component. The meeting will be held in Building 14, Rooms 147-148, MCC Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West.

If the board decides, at its April 10 meeting, to offer the position to a candidate, the board will meet in special session April 16, at 8:30 a.m., at MCC Lakewood Ranch, to approve a contract for the new president.

The board is conducting a search for a president to succeed Dr. Sarah H. Pappas, who retires June 30.
