Learn About Teaching Certification Program
Bradenton, Fla., March 4, 2008) - Manatee Community College (MCC) will host an nformation session about its teaching certification preparation program, for noneducation majors with at least a bachelor's degree, at 6:30 p.m. , Tuesday, April 29, in rooms 147/148, Student Union, Building 14, MCC Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West.
MCC was one of the first colleges to develop an ACP when the programs were authorized by the Florida Legislature in an attempt to address the state's critical teacher shortage. After participants complete ACP coursework, pass Florida Teacher Certification Exams and undergo a mandatory background check, they are eligible for professional teaching certification. The cost of the ACP is approximately $2,000.
