Community Input Sought for Presidential Search
(Bradenton, Fla., Sept. 24, 2007) - In preparation for a search for the successor to MCC President Sarah Pappas, who has announced her June 30, 2008, retirement, MCC trustees are holding community listening sessions at the college's Bradenton and Venice campuses.
The purpose of the sessions is to hear input from citizens of Manatee and Sarasota counties regarding characteristics, skills and experience preferred in the next MCC president.
All interested community members are invited. Business partners and MCC alumni are encouraged to participate.
The community listening sessions schedule follows:
- Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m., at MCC Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Tr., in the Selby Community Room, Building 800; or
- Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m., at MCC Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, in the Nursing Auditorium, Building 29, Room 106.
