Multimedia Artist/Educator Exhibits at Venice

(Venice, Fla., March 2, 2007) - Artist and educator Sue Turconi will showcase her multimedia works in an exhibit that continues through April 16 in the Manatee Community College (MCC) Venice Fine Art Gallery, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail. 

For the past two years, Turconi has been a featured presenter for the European Council of International Studies in the Netherlands and in Nice, France. She has taught at colleges in the Northeast United States and at MCC Venice. Currently, she teaches at the Venice Art Center and gives lectures and workshops for various community groups. Her work appears in exhibits at Venice City Hall, Habitat for Humanity (Sarasota County) and Beatrice Friedman Symphony Center (Sarasota) and in various collections in New Jersey, including the New Jersey State Museum, Newark Museum, Rutgers University and the Bergen Museum.

The exhibit is located in the library foyer gallery.  Regular gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. For more information, call (941) 408-1488.
