MCC Noncredit Division Offers New Classes at Lakewood Ranch
(Bradenton, Fla., Dec. 6, 2006) - The Corporate and Community Development Division of Manatee Community College (MCC) will offer new classes beginning in January at the Center for Innovation and Technology at MCC Lakewood Ranch.
In spring 2007, the Institute of Continuing and Community Development will offer new personal enrichment classes in ballroom dance, image and etiquette for adults and children, movie review, contract bridge bidding and play, creation of beautiful rooms, staging for a home sale and creative writing. The Women's Resource Center of Manatee County will sponsor classes that help women get a grip on their finances, and redirect children's behavior and teach them ethical values.
Popular favorites also include Latin dance; Class D security officer and renewal classes; Art Center Manatee classes; jewelry making; retirement planning; CPR, First Aid and HIV/AIDS education; job interview skills; insurance; the ABCs of Alzheimer's; techniques to promote brain health; classes for child care providers and divorcing parents; and general education development (GED) classes.
A variety of online classes will be offered by On-line Training Institute, 360 Training and Ed2Go. Courses include insurance, hospitality, food and beverage, financial services, driving and transportation, environmental health and safety, real estate and mortgage, and more.
