Talented Local Artists Exhibit Works at MCC Venice

(Venice, Fla., Nov. 20, 2006) - Watercolors by North Port resident Nancy Colby and fused and stained glass by Port Charlotte resident Josephina Espinosa will be displayed in an exhibit that continues through Feb. 5 in the Manatee Community College (MCC) Venice Fine Art Gallery, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail.

Colby has won top honors from the Florida Suncoast Watercolor Society, Arts of Sarasota, Englewood Art Center, Venice Art Center, Charlotte County Visual Art Center and North Port Area Art Guild. She teaches watercolor, acrylics and furniture painting at the Englewood Art Center, and watercolor classes at the Venice Art Center, Charlotte County Art Center and Tringali Art Center in Englewood. Colby's work is in many private collections and is regularly shown at the Lemon Tree Gallery, Englewood, and the Vicky Glynn Gallery, Punta Gorda.

Espinosa studied at the Institute de Bellos Arts in Columbia, South America. She teaches drawing, painting, fusion and stained glass classes at the Venice Art Center and the Charlotte County Art Center. Her works have been shown throughout the world.
