Insurance Professionals Find Variety in MCC Noncredit Online Classes
(Bradenton, Fla., Sept. 22, 2006) - Insurance professionals looking for a convenient way to take licensure or continuing education classes will find more options in online classes offered by Manatee Community College (MCC). MCC is the only community college in the state of Florida that has been approved to offer all 16 Online Training Institute courses approved by the state.
When an OnlineTraining Institute class is approved by the state, each of 25 community colleges that are members of the Online Insurance Consortium have an opportunity to apply for the Institute's approval to offer the course. MCC is the only consortium member that has been successful in acquiring approval to offer all the current courses available.
Approved Online Training Institute classes meet the needs of those seeking an insurance license or continuing credit in such professions as insurance and real estate. Students must visit an MCC campus only once to take a final exam.
"Students may complete the courses in a short period of time, without having to take time off work to attend a class. MCC has been working with the Institute to offer these classes for the last five years," said Cindy Hunter, director, MCC Institute for Continuing and Community Education.
