Open House to be Held at MCC Venice

(Bradenton, Fla., Sept. 25, 2006) - Manatee Community College (MCC) will offer an opportunity for high school students, their families and others interested in higher education to learn about the college and the programs and services it offers during a Fall 2006 Open House program . An MCC scholarship drawing will be held for eligible high school students.

The Open House will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 10, in the Professional Development Center, building 800, at MCC Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail.

MCC offers two-year associate in arts (A.A.), associate in science (A.S.) and associate in applied science (A.A.S.) degrees. Students who intend to transfer to university programs, as well as students who want to immediately enter the workforce, can find out about convenient and affordable opportunities at the open houses. Topics covered will include academics and clubs; how to get started at MCC; and financial aid.
