MCC Studio 84 Presents Comical Collage

(Bradenton, Fla., June 1, 2006) - Manatee Community College (MCC) Studio 84 Productions will present summer workshop performances of Vital Signs, a comical collage about modern life, at 8 p.m., June 16 and 17, in the John W. James Studio Theatre, located off 26th Street at 60th Avenue West, MCC Bradenton.

The suite of theatrical highlights by Jane Martin won rave reviews at the Humana Festival at Actors Theatre, Louisville, Ky., for its portrayals of the warmth, majesty, fear, frustration, joy and sadness of life. Martin's other hits include Talking With, Keely and Du, and Anton in Show Business.

MCC's workshop performance is directed by Dean Anthony and features Studio 84 stage veterans Kali Blankenship, Kelly Clark, Kennedy Cranford, Molly Healy, K.S. Klos, Cassandra Manuson, Ryan Down Urch and Jennifer Woll. Newcomers are Tim Allen, Maggie Jewell, Halbert Jones II, Kendall Klepper and Kevin Rose.

The mature subject matter and adult language in Vital Signs are not recommended for anyone under the age of 16. General admission is $10. Tickets are $5 for MCC students and staff. Tickets go on sale June 5. Box office hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. For more information, call (941) 752-5252.
