Two Award-Winning Artists Show Works at MCC Venice

(Venice, Fla., Feb. 28, 2006) -  Works by award-winning artists Coleen Henry and Amy Webber will be shown in an exhibit that will continue through April 24 at the Manatee Community College (MCC) Venice Fine Art Gallery, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail. 

Henry's watercolors have won many awards and her work is represented in private and public collections, including the Gulf Coast Foundation of Venice gallery. A 28-foot log mural of sea life hangs on the wall in the children's department of Jacaranda Public Library.

With 25 years of experience in commercial art, Webber is a ceramic artist whose work reflects the beauty of nature. She teaches at Booker High School, Sarasota, and also works in painting and photography.

The exhibit is located in the library foyer.  Regular gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. For more information, call (941) 408-1488.
