MCC Fall Noncredit Schedule Features New & Varied Classes
(Bradenton, Fla., Aug. 24, 2005) - The Manatee Community College (MCC) Fall schedule of Corporate and Community Development noncredit classes is now available. Typical classes are small, adult oriented and focus on a specific need or interest. Classes are offered at MCC Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West; MCC Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail; and MCC Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway East.
New art classes offered in conjunction with ArtCenter Manatee at MCC Lakewood Ranch explore watercolor, fabric collage, painting on silk and pencil techniques. A new language class, The Culture and Conversation of Italy, and French, Russian, Spanish and sign language are offered at one or more MCC sites. Personal enrichment courses geared toward older learners include a Mother-Daughter Weight Control Workshop, Transforming Debt Into Wealth and The Retirement Challenge for Women, which is presented by the Women's Resource Center of Sarasota County.
Classes for accredited claims adjusters or registered customer service representatives provide professional continuing education or exemptions from state licensing examinations. Other specialized training classes are for security officers, child care providers and those seeking real estate licensing. A popular class for motorcycle riders is offered at MCC Bradenton and MCC Venice.
