Artist Barry Freedland Debuts New Work in MCC Gallery
(Bradenton, Fla., Aug. 22, 2005) - New College Professor Barry Freedland recently debuted an exhibit, Questionable Intentions, that explores his recent inquiry into the tangible nature of paintings as sculptural objects. The exhibit continues through Oct. 6 in the fine art gallery at Manatee Community College (MCC) Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West.
Freedland's work has been exhibited in numerous galleries that include the Boston Center for the Arts, Museum of Fine Arts (Boston), Santa Fe Institute of Contemporary Art (New Mexico) and Art Center (Sarasota). He is the recipient of grants and fellowships from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts.
