(Bradenton, Fla., June 15, 2005) - The deadline has been extended to 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, for new students to apply for admission and enroll in Summer B classes at Manatee Community College. In the application process, students will need to provide appropriate SAT/ACT scores or take the Florida College Entry Level Placement Test to determine course selection. After attending orientation, students can Web register for classes.

Enrollment in Summer B classes for all returning and transfer students also is under way and will be open through June 24 at noon (the end of the add/drop period) or the beginning of a late-start class beginning after June 24. Summer B day, evening and distance learning classes begin Wednesday, June 22, and end Wednesday, Aug. 3.

Enrollment also is under way for Fall term classes beginning Aug. 22. New student applications will be accepted through Aug. 15.  Summer and Fall class schedules may be viewed online at

Programs leading to one-year certificates and two-year associate in arts, associate in applied science and associate in science degrees are offered. Classes are held at MCC Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West; MCC Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail; the Center for Innovation and Technology at MCC Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway East; and at other off-site locations.

Summer student services hours at MCC Bradenton and MCC Venice are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday. A one-time $40 application fee ($75 for international students) is required for new students.
