MCC Administrator Elected Florida Association Vice President
(Bradenton, Fla., June 3, 2005) - Dee Dee Gatch, director of career resource centers at Manatee Community College (MCC), has been elected the 2005-06 vice president of the Florida Career Professional Association (FCPA).
The FCPA helps build Florida's workforce by partnering with career professionals in education, government and industry to promote innovative internships, cooperative education and career opportunities. The association offers its members opportunities for professional networking on a statewide level and professional development. Gatch has been a member since 1997.
At MCC since 1998, she directs career resource centers at MCC Bradenton and Venice where students get help with making career decisions and finding jobs. On-campus student employment and marketing of the centers' programs, services and resources are other responsibilities.
Gatch also is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employees, National Career Development Center and the Society for Human Resource Management. She has a master's degree in education from the University of South Florida and certification as a Professional in Human Resources.
