Enrollment Begins for Summer Classes at MCC

(Bradenton, Fla., April 8, 2005) - Enrollment for new and all other students not yet registered for Summer term 2005 classes at Manatee Community College (MCC) will begin Monday, April 18. First-time college students must make appointments for orientation prior to Web registration, which is available for all students who have completed the admissions process.  Class schedules may be viewed on MCC's Web site at

Summer day, evening and distance learning classes begin Tuesday, May 10. Full credit classes also are offered in shorter time periods throughout the Summer term. Programs leading to one-year certificates and two-year associate in arts, associate in applied science and associate in science degrees are offered. Classes are held at MCC Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West; MCC Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail; the Center for Innovation and Technology at MCC Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway East; and at other off-site locations.

Regular student services office hours at MCC Bradenton and MCC Venice are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. When Summer office hours commence May 9, offices close at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. A one-time $40 application fee ($75 for international students) is required for first-time students. Tuition is $61.11 per hour for in-state students and $227.81 per hour for out-of-state students.
