MCC Symphonic & High School Guest Bands in Concert

(Bradenton, Fla., Feb. 22, 2005) - The Manatee Community College (MCC) Symphonic Band will present an American and English folk music concert with guest performances by the Booker High School Symphonic Band and the Manatee School of the Arts High School Band at 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, in Neel Performing Arts Center, located off 26th Street at 60th Avenue West.

James Robert Wright will conduct the MCC band. Bill Perrine is the conductor of the Booker High School Symphonic Band and Salvatore Vinciguerra is the conductor of the Manatee School of the Arts High School Band. The bands will perform works by Kenneth Alford, Joseph Wilcox Jenkins Jenkins, Gustav Holst, Clifton Williams, Pierre La Plante and Julie Giroux-West. The concert will end with a symphonic finale of Mystery on Mena Mountain by Giroux-West with more than 100 musicians from all three bands.
