Project Description                                                                                                                    Log in to SharePoint 2013
Implementation and training of a user-friendly, intranet portal that will centralize access to College information and applications for all employees on the SCF network.

Needs Identified

A database driven intranet that provides document and data management, organization, searchable database, data tracking, centralized process management, divisional and departmental online collaboration, project management, web functionality.

Timeline
SharePoint is currently live. The first project scheduled to rollout is the SACS Reaffirmation Project followed by the S: drive and H: drive reallocation over the summer.

Why Microsoft SharePoint?
ITS has evaluated the use of the S:drive, H:drive and requests that continually come to us for document management, storage and online collaboration. Microsoft SharePoint provides a robust, cloud based solution in a familiar environment. The college-wide SACS Reaffirmation Project is a good example of excellent use of the collaborative web-based features available in SharePoint.

What is a SharePoint site?
A SharePoint site is a dynamic and interactive website that provides a central storage and collaboration space for documents, information, and ideas. A SharePoint site helps groups of people (whether work teams or social groups) share information and work together. For example, a SharePoint site can help you: * Coordinate projects, calendars, and schedules.* Discuss ideas and review documents or proposals.* Share information and keep in touch with other people.*Create document libraries that provide central management capability.

Log in to SharePoint 2013 

ITS will begin rolling out  SharePoint this July starting with the SACS Project Team. Training  will be available this Fall 2013. Announcements will be sent when  SharePoint is available to all employees. Access is limited to  SACS Project contributors at this time.
