Equity Reporting
In accordance with the Florida Educational Equity Act, the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) submits its Florida Educational Equity Act Annual Update. This report illustrates the efforts and progress the College has made to provide equity in student participation and employment. We will continue to evaluate current efforts to achieve equity and ensure access for people with disabilities.
Collaboratively, leaders throughout the College meet and discuss information that is submitted to the Equal Opportunity Officer, who oversees the Equity Report. These leaders make up the Equity Act Planning Committee. The committee members are comprised of: Vice President of Educational and Student Services, Vice President, Academic Quality and Success, Executive Director, Human Resources, Coordinator, Disability Resource Center, Associate Vice President, Student Development, Director, Academic Resource Center, Director, Institutional Research, Associate Vice President, Student Services, Athletic Director and Chaired by the Equal Opportunity Officer. The Equity Act Planning Committee creates the Equity Report and presents the findings to the President’s Executive Team. The Equal Opportunity Officer presents a summary of the report to the Board of Trustees.
