In an effort to strengthen our academic community and build alliances across differences, our College promotes and encourages a diverse student, faculty and staff population.

SCF is dedicated to providing a safe, positive, and nurturing environment that values and appreciates the uniqueness, similarities and differences found in the members of its community. The strength of our diversity combined with commitment and dedication to a common purpose can only lead SCF to continued success.


The Diversity/Multicultural Awareness Committee (DMAC) shall consist of twelve (12) members representing each employment level in accordance with SACS recommendations and appointed by the President. Members are as follows: Manager, Employment/Equity serving as permanent chair, six faculty members, four administrators and five career/professional support employees (committee is comprised of members from Bradenton, Venice and Lakewood campuses/location).
